The Begining Baby Baby Spa Wellness Experience is a calm, luxury parent-and-baby-led bonding, sensory and wellness experience.
The experience is designed to provide parents with dedicated time to slow down, connect with their baby and enjoy a relaxing environment together.
The experience may include:
A warm baby bath experience
Optional bath additions selected by the parent
Guided baby massage techniques
A gentle facial massage demonstration
Baby-friendly sensory activities and bath toys
Parent-and-baby bonding guidance
Mother's Wellness Circle and Q&A
Refreshments
Memory photographs and/or video where consent has been provided
A Mother's goody bag
The experience is not a medical, clinical, healthcare or therapeutic treatment.
The Begining Baby does not diagnose, treat or provide medical advice for babies or parents.
Parents should seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional regarding any medical, developmental, allergy, skin, feeding, sleep or other health concern.
2. Parent-Led Experience and Parental Responsibility
The Baby Spa Experience is strictly parent-and-baby led.
The parent attending the session remains responsible for the care, handling, supervision, comfort and wellbeing of their own baby throughout the entire experience.
The Begining Baby does not take over the role of the parent and does not assume parental responsibility for any baby attending the session.
The parent remains responsible for their baby:
Before entering the venue
During arrival
During every activity
During the bathing experience
During massage and sensory activities
While moving around the venue
During refreshments
During photography
When leaving the venue
After leaving the venue
The parent is responsible for making decisions regarding whether their baby participates in any activity.
The parent may decline, pause or stop any activity at any time.
The parent must observe their baby's behaviour and cues and act appropriately if their baby becomes tired, distressed, uncomfortable or unsettled.
3. Baby Supervision
The parent must remain with their baby at all times.
During any water-based activity, the parent must remain within immediate reach of their baby at all times.
A baby must never be left unattended in or around water, even for a very short period.
The parent must never:
Leave their baby alone in the bath
Turn away from their baby while the baby is in the bath
Leave the designated bathing area while their baby is in the bath
Allow another activity or conversation to distract them from supervising their baby
Submerge their baby
Babies are never to be submerged during The Begining Baby Baby Spa Experience.
The parent is responsible for physically placing their baby into the bath and removing their baby from the bath.
4. The Role of The Begining Baby
The Begining Baby provides:
The venue environment
Baby baths
Equipment
General guidance
Demonstrations
Sensory activities
The planned experience
Safety instructions and procedures
The Begining Baby does not provide childcare.
The Begining Baby does not take physical responsibility for babies attending the experience.
Where a demonstration is provided, it is for the parent to perform on their own baby.
The parent remains the person responsible for physically handling, caring for and supervising their baby.
The Begining Baby may provide guidance and point out safety considerations, but the parent remains responsible for following those instructions and making appropriate decisions regarding their baby.
5. Age and Developmental Suitability
The minimum age for attending is 3 months.
There is no fixed maximum age because suitability depends on the individual baby's development and mobility.
The bathing experience is intended for babies who remain suitable for safe use of the individual baby bath.
If a baby becomes sufficiently mobile to repeatedly attempt to stand, climb or pull themselves up in the bath, the parent must discontinue the bathing activity.
Parents must use their own judgement regarding their baby's developmental stage and must follow the safety guidance provided.
The Begining Baby may ask a parent to discontinue an activity if there is a reasonable concern that the activity is no longer appropriate or safe for the baby's developmental stage.
6. Health and Medical Information
Parents must provide accurate and complete information before attending.
Parents must disclose relevant information including, where applicable:
Allergies
Skin conditions
Medical conditions
Premature birth
Developmental concerns
Current illness
Sensitivities
Any other health circumstances which may affect participation
Where a baby has a medical condition, allergy, skin condition, premature birth history or other relevant circumstance, the parent should obtain appropriate advice from their GP, health visitor, paediatrician or other qualified healthcare professional before attending.
The Begining Baby does not provide medical clearance or medical assessment.
If a parent is unsure whether their baby is suitable to attend, they should seek appropriate professional advice before booking or attending.
7. Unwell Babies
Babies who are unwell or have a contagious illness should not attend.
If a baby develops an illness before a session, the parent should contact The Begining Baby as soon as possible and should seek medical advice where appropriate.
The Begining Baby may ask a baby who appears unwell to refrain from participating where this is reasonably necessary for the baby's wellbeing or the wellbeing of other attendees.
8. Bathing Experience
Each baby has their own individual bath and designated space.
There will be a maximum of 10 babies per session.
The baths are filled by The Begining Baby.
A thermometer is used to check the water temperature.
Parents must check the water before placing their baby into the bath and must satisfy themselves that the water is appropriate for their individual baby.
If the parent has any concern regarding the water temperature or level, they must raise this with The Begining Baby before placing their baby into the bath.
The parent remains responsible for their baby throughout the bathing experience.
9. Bath Water and Equipment
The Begining Baby uses Shnuggle baby baths in accordance with the manufacturer's intended use and safety guidance.
The baths are individual and are used in designated areas.
The parent must follow all instructions given regarding the use of the bath.
The parent must immediately inform The Begining Baby if they notice any damage, instability or other concern relating to the bath or equipment.
The parent must remove their baby from the bath immediately if they believe the bath is no longer appropriate for their baby.
10. Bath Products and Optional Additions
The standard bath does not require any products or additions.
Where offered, parents may choose to add optional ingredients such as:
Childs Farm baby oat milk
Childs Farm baby bath bubbles
Dried organic flowers
Fresh orange slices
The parent chooses whether or not to use any optional ingredient.
The parent will add any chosen optional ingredient to their own baby's bath.
Parents are responsible for disclosing allergies and sensitivities before using any optional ingredient.
If a parent is unsure whether an ingredient is suitable for their baby, they should not use it and should seek appropriate professional advice.
The Begining Baby does not guarantee that any optional ingredient will be suitable for every baby.
11. Massage and Facial Demonstration
The Begining Baby may demonstrate simple baby massage techniques and a gentle facial massage routine.
The parent performs the massage on their own baby.
The Begining Baby does not physically massage babies.
No massage or facial activity is compulsory.
Parents may decline or stop any activity at any time.
The massage and sensory activities are provided as part of the bonding and wellness experience and are not medical or therapeutic treatments.
12. Baby Distress and Baby Cues
Babies are welcome to cry, feed, require a nappy change or need comfort during the experience.
Parents are responsible for observing their baby's cues.
If a baby becomes distressed, unsettled, tired or uncomfortable, the parent is responsible for deciding whether to:
Comfort their baby
Pause the activity
Stop the activity
Remove their baby from the bath
Leave the activity
There is no requirement for a baby to participate in every part of the experience.
13. Parent Responsibility for Safety
The parent acknowledges that caring for a baby requires constant attention and supervision.
The parent is responsible for:
Supervising their baby
Handling their baby safely
Following instructions
Observing their baby's cues
Making decisions about participation
Checking their baby's comfort
Checking the water before placing their baby into the bath
Ensuring their baby remains supervised
Removing their baby from an activity where appropriate
The Begining Baby cannot make these decisions on behalf of the parent.
14. Slips, Water and Movement Around the Venue
Water may be present within the Baby Spa environment.
Towels and appropriate equipment are provided to help manage water and reduce slipping hazards.
Parents must walk carefully and follow any safety instructions provided.
Parents are responsible for taking appropriate care when carrying their baby, particularly where the parent or baby may be wet.
Parents remain responsible for their own movements and for safely carrying and handling their baby around the venue.
15. Photography and Video
Photography and/or video may be available during the experience.
Parents will be asked to provide separate consent regarding photography and video.
Parents may also take their own photographs where this does not interfere with the safety, privacy or experience of other attendees.
Parents must not photograph or record another person's baby or family without their permission.
Photography consent is separate from acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
16. Feeding and Nappy Changing
Breastfeeding and bottle feeding are welcome.
Parents may feed their baby whenever required.
Crying, feeding and settling are normal parts of attending with a baby and parents should never feel uncomfortable about attending to their baby's needs.
A designated nappy-changing area and toilet facilities are available.
Parents remain responsible for changing and caring for their own baby.
17. Refreshments
Adult refreshments may include sugar-free drinks, sparkling fruit water, fruit and cake.
Parents must inform The Begining Baby of relevant allergies or dietary requirements before attending.
Parents are responsible for deciding whether refreshments are suitable for themselves.
Food intended for adults must not be given to babies.
18. Number of Attendees
Standard sessions are limited to:
One adult and one baby per booking.
Additional children are not permitted during standard sessions.
A second adult may only attend where this has been agreed in advance, such as during a private booking.
19. Personal Belongings
Pushchairs must be left in the designated area.
Parents remain responsible for their personal belongings, valuables, phones and other property.
The Begining Baby does not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
20. Smoking and Vaping
Smoking and vaping are not permitted during the Baby Spa Experience or in areas where prohibited by the venue.
21. Behaviour
The Begining Baby aims to provide a calm, welcoming and respectful environment for parents and babies.
Aggressive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or disrespectful behaviour towards Grace Prosser, The Begining Baby, venue staff or other attendees will not be tolerated.
The Begining Baby reserves the right to ask a person to leave where their behaviour creates a safety concern or significantly affects the experience of others.
22. Booking
A booking is confirmed once payment has been received.
By completing a booking, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the information provided during booking is accurate.
23. Cancellations
The cancellation period is 48 hours before the scheduled session.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session are normally non-refundable.
Where a baby becomes unwell, the parent should contact The Begining Baby as soon as possible.
Where appropriate, The Begining Baby may offer a transfer to another available session at its discretion.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or limits any statutory consumer rights that apply.
24. Cancellation by The Begining Baby
The Begining Baby reserves the right to cancel, postpone or rearrange a session where reasonably necessary, including because of:
Venue issues
Equipment issues
Health and safety concerns
Illness
Emergencies
Circumstances outside the reasonable control of The Begining Baby
Where The Begining Baby cancels a session, customers will be offered an appropriate alternative arrangement or refund in accordance with applicable consumer law.
25. Wellness Disclaimer
The Baby Spa Wellness Experience is intended to provide an opportunity for parents and babies to enjoy:
Bonding
Connection
Sensory exploration
Relaxation
Quality time together
Positive memories
A calm environment
Every baby is different and no particular outcome is guaranteed.
The Begining Baby does not guarantee that participation will improve:
Sleep
Colic
Wind
Teething discomfort
Feeding
Development
Behaviour
Medical conditions
The experience must not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.
26. Responsibility and Liability
The parent acknowledges that they are responsible for the care, handling and supervision of their own baby throughout the experience.
Where an incident occurs because a parent:
Fails to supervise their baby;
Leaves their baby unattended;
Fails to follow reasonable safety instructions;
Makes a decision regarding their baby's participation;
Fails to disclose relevant health or allergy information;
Uses an optional product or ingredient they have chosen;
Handles their baby in a manner outside the guidance provided; or
Fails to respond appropriately to their baby's cues;
the parent accepts responsibility for their own actions and decisions to the extent permitted by law.
The Begining Baby is not responsible for a parent's failure to supervise, care for or safely handle their own baby.
The Begining Baby does not accept responsibility for risks arising solely from the parent's own actions, decisions, omissions or failure to follow safety instructions.
However, nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
27. Reasonable Care and Safety
The Begining Baby will take reasonable steps to provide the experience, equipment and environment with appropriate care and attention.
Safety procedures and risk assessments are maintained for the experience.
Parents must follow all reasonable safety instructions given during the session.
Parents acknowledge that participating in an experience involving babies, water and movement carries inherent risks and that constant parental supervision is essential.
28. Acceptance of Responsibility
By booking the Baby Spa Wellness Experience, the parent acknowledges that:
The experience is parent-and-baby led.
They remain responsible for their own baby throughout the experience.
They must remain with their baby at all times.
They must remain within immediate reach during water activities.
Their baby must never be left unattended.
Their baby must never be submerged.
They are responsible for handling their own baby.
They are responsible for deciding whether their baby participates in an activity.
They are responsible for responding to their baby's cues.
They must follow all reasonable safety instructions.
They must disclose relevant health and allergy information.
They understand that The Begining Baby is not providing medical or therapeutic treatment.
They understand that the parent remains responsible for their baby's care after leaving the session.
29. Legal Rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any rights that a customer has under applicable UK law or seeks to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
